Welcome to Box Methodist Church
We are delighted to have this opportunity to tell you about God's work through us in Box and further afield.
Whether you are an established member already or 'just browsing', you are assured of a genuinely warm and friendly welcome.
As with most Methodist Churches we tend to have a different person leading our worship each week although we plan that our own Minister will lead a Service with the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Click on the 'Services' link in the left hand column to find out who will be with us during this month.
In co-operation with friends from the Parish Church we also hold an 'alternative' cafe-style Service twice a month called
'The Filling Station' which regularly attracts more than 70 people and is also an uplifting and deeply spiritual experience. It's Church, but not as you know it.
The Church could be described as traditional on the outside but, on the inside, it is modern with comfy chairs (no hard pews!), plenty of heating and a 'T-loop' system for the hearing-impaired. The 'History' page will give you more information about us.
In our Services we endeavour to give everyone the opportunity to worship together in a reverent and spiritual manner. The good news of salvation through repentance and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ is proclaimed in our Services and the word of God is taught and applied to our day to day living.
If you would like to know more about us please have a word with our Minister, Rev. Rachel Borgars, or our senior steward. Details are on our contact page. We would be happy to speak with you at Church or in your home if you wish, regarding any spiritual matters or other concerns that you may have.
Within this site there are many activities that we carry out in the name of the Lord so please take a look at what's on offer. We look forward to seeing you soon.
